ABOUT · COLLABORATORS

Named collaborators.

The people we build with. Every collaborator named on this page has confirmed permission to be publicly associated with Alterra work; we do not publish partnerships without that consent.

The posture.

A residential landscape that reads as resolved has usually been built with more than one practice on it. On an Alterra project the architect sets the envelope and the language the garden answers back to; the interior designer sets the register the garden will be viewed from across thresholds and through windows; the pool contractor, where one is involved, handles a discrete body of construction that the landscape grade, planting, and terrace detailing then coordinate around; ironworkers, stone suppliers, and specialist subtrades author the specific details that carry a scheme. Naming those partners is the accurate record of how the work was made. Absorbing them into a generic “everything-in-house, under one roof” claim flattens what was actually a set of named practices working in deliberate coordination, and the practice would rather publish the record than the claim.

Each name that appears on this page is here with the named collaborator's written permission. Where a substantive collaborator is not listed yet, it is usually because the permission conversation is still open, not because the work wasn't substantive. The page grows as confirmations arrive rather than populating all at once; per-project credits on individual project writeups may appear before a collaborator joins the firm-level list here. Collaborators who prefer not to be publicly named on a given project are not named — and if a past or current partner would like their listing updated, removed, or adjusted, the practice will make the change on request.

Current collaborators.

  • [OPERATOR: collaborator roster pending permission completion per OD-5]

This page is populated as operator completes per-collaborator permission confirmations. Credits appear here only with written consent.

FOR PROSPECTIVE COLLABORATORS

If you'd like to be listed here.

We list collaborators with their permission. If you've worked with us on a project and would like your name associated on this page — or if you would prefer not to be named on a project we're currently documenting — please reach out.
